Bird War Press is pleased to announce the release of "Maybe A Bird Will Sing" by James H. Duncan .

" I first stumbled upon the poetic musings of James Duncan in the summer of 2007 and was instantly awestruck by his work. A self-proclaimed student of the road, Duncan paints time and place with map-like precision, with words that lead the reader on an ongoing journey through a landscape of empty wine bottles and drunken dreams, always attempting to quell the midnight, to stave off the mundane in search of something more. For me, his poems alone stand as a fantastic summation of images and emotions but it is not until digesting a collection of his work such as this one, that you really begin to get a feel for the man behind each keystroke, behind each failed endeavor of heart and victory of mind. It is somewhere in-between these travails that an artist is born and James Duncan is one such soul.

With that being said, it is my honor to kick things off here at Bird War with the work of such a talented writer."
